West Virginia Announces Its 2019 Captains

Entering its 48th year of competition, the West Virginia University men’s lacrosse team recently announced its 2019 captains.  

#34 Carter Smith begins his second consecutive year as both team President and captain.  He is a senior chemical engineering major from Brick, New Jersey.  Carter has played as a long stick midfielder for four years and is a proven leader both on and off the field.  The son of Rodney and Teresa Smith, Carter played at the same position in high school for Coach Len Zdanowicz at Brick Township High.

#13 Bryce Prueitt returns to WVU as a veteran of the Afghanistan war.  A graduate of Danville High School in Danville, PA, Bryce enters his senior year at WVU as a psychology major.  Bryce is a midfielder who brings leadership skills learned in the United States Armed Forces to the lacrosse field for the Mountaineers.  He is the son of Eric and Dina Prueitt of Danville.

As steady as they come, #10 Brian Drennan enters his junior year as an attackman for West Virginia. He is the son of Billy and Audrey Drennan of Selden, New York.  Brian played lacrosse in high school for head coach Christopher Siragusa and the Wolverines of Newfield High School on Long Island. Brian majors in Sports Management at WVU.

Hailing from the great state of Arizona, #43 Levi Pellegrin is a senior midfielder who has accepted the challenge of playing collegiate lacrosse while attending law school.  Levi begins law school at WVU after graduating from the University of Arizona where he played as a midfielder for the Wildcats. Prior to that, Levi attended Mountain Pointe High School in Pheonix.  He is the son of Jeff and Colleen Pellegrin.
